The regular season has ended and now we are into the exciting final 16.

With many changes occurring, including the drop of the former super team Viper, the season has been very shaken up with no real clear favourite any more.

Also, with one league having four clans drop from it, the advancement to the playoffs becomes more interesting because not only top four will be advancing now

It has taken some time but the moment is finally here - AoCZone is hosting its first tournament. After seeing many standard leagues and competitions, it is time for something new, unusual and exciting, and as you can guess from the title, it is not going to be easy, either.

Extreme Challenge is set on entirely new random maps, which are not only far from the ordinary but are also very (or should I say "extremely") difficult. Some of them have been dug up from old map packs, fixed and edited, while others have been created from scratch. Ten of the best ones (based on players' approval) have then been selected for the tournament.

With most games out of the way the divisions are still rather close but, surprisingly, many clans have dropped out due to inactivity (most likely due to the recent StarCraft 2 movers).

But ANYWAY!

Even the short version is going to be a bit long for this one so enjoy aha.

In Division 1: XJL and VN look to be going to the playoffs but if LKC or LobosR win the rest of their games they will put big pressure on those top two contenders. XJL and VN only have 2 games left unplayed making their maximum scores 36 and 34. Both LKC and LobosR COULD finish with 34 points. Could get interesting ^_^

In Division 2: TOAO is the head of the pack mainly because the rest of the pack dropped out. With only THREE active teams left in the group, PiA and AOKI are both in a position to overtake TOAO for the top two slots. TOAO has finished all 12 games and has 30 points while PiA and AOKI sit at 28 and 26 with a pair of games left each that are probably AW that haven't been counted. When this is sorted out I am quite sure it will be PiA on top, then AOKI, then TOAO

In Division 3: SlipKn0T has their spot so the race is for second place. Arg looks to be in control with four games left and the same number of points as DyT, of course EMzC IS still in the picture but would have to play all of their games quickly and win them all.

In Division 4: wW is undefeated and has a pair of games remaining and RoR and UsK are dead even! These teams control their own futures now ^_^

It has been two weeks since the start of this event and it is therefore time to summarise its progress. The participating clans have been divided into 2 groups in which they are to face each other for 7 weeks. After mere two rounds, the strongest clans are already taking the lead.
