I think a new taunt for "go back " or "gb" will be useful.

*If* there was a boost to the cataphract's attack (+1 I think is reasonable), it should be an added effect that kicks in from researching logistica @ castle.
Also, +1 to idea for adding a "gb" taunt

How would a taunt, 2 numbers, be any easier than typing gb?

Re: New Expansion (updated 20 Feb: Trailer added)
Hello there,
I read the post about your expansion and was very impressed about the amazing work you did. So I just sorted all the ideas, I had about improving aoc over all the years. Maybe you think of them to be good enough to be realized. But I have to warn you, due to the fact, that I am neither a programmer nor an expert aoc gamer, i have no idea, whether these ideas are makeable or will lead to imbalance.
1. I played AoM a lot, and noticed, that there are some improvements for the gameplay, which might be introduced to aoc, too. They are:
1.1 If you select multiple buildings in aom and produce a unit, the unit is produced in every building, if you try the same in aoc, only one building is producing the unit.
1.2 In AoM, there is a button, with which you can tell a building, to keep building one unit, it is some sort of an infinite queue. You identify the buildings, you told to do so by a green circle above them in aom.
If one or both of them could be added it would be a great improvement I think.
2. It would be nice, if you could add a button in the options with which you can able or disable small trees (pussywood)
3. If you have to delete several units, like villagers, if you want to have more capacity for your army, or buildings, if you want to tear down your own wall or something like that, you have to press delete again and again and again. Maybe you could add a button with the combination shift+del to delete all selected units.
4. I heard about an update for the map and campaign editor of age of empires 2, with which you can add things like teleporting units at the triggers, which is not possible yet. If you get the permission to add this to your expansion it would be great.
5. if you want to improve the fishing traps, you have to add a queue for them, like conquerors added it for the fields. (maybe in the mill, too, or in the harbour)
6. due to the fact, that the teutonic knights were actual templars, it would be nice, to add an imperial age technology, which allows you to build them in monasteries.
7. I know, it will be hard, but it would be great, if you are able to integrate a real spectator mode, so that a spectator can see the whole map and loses his ability to interact with the game.
8. Instead of making the turtle ships faster, you can improve them by giving them the ability to transport units, cause this is how they look like to me every single time, like good armored transporting ships.
9. Increasing the maximum population limit always sounds like changing the whole game or like overcharging it. I think, if you would add a maximum population for two players with up to 800 units and to 3 or 4 players with up to 400 units, the maximum amount of units of 1600(8 players, 200 each) would not be exceeded and if somebody does not want to play with such huge armys, he does not have to.
10. I thought of two new civilizations:
10.1 The Vatican with a better monk as the special unit, which might be called bishop or something like that and with an imperial age technology called crusade, which arms your villagers, giving them a new look and better stats (I know, it would be pretty much the same as the spains have)
10.2 The Scots, with a highlander as the sepcial unit, a low armoured unit, which deals much damage with his two-handed-sword and which is pretty fast for an infantry unit.
Maybe one of the ideas is useful.

we can use number 8 for gb. The original taunt for 8 is useless. A sound for gb will make our ally respond faster than typing gb 10 times continously.

remove the two-handed part and it sounds like a woad-raider

Also, military commands for monks and spanish vilagers.
Spanish villies, after the research would win that board and be a standart "defensive" instace. You select the vilagers that will go to war and put them on agressive.
Monks would start on "no attack". If you put agressive, wil try to convert every military unit (maybe even vilies) that passes by.
Hate to micro them.

1. I believe they've already tried this and might be testing it now. I personally don't like the idea of either one as it changes the game a little too much. Death match would be a totally different game.
2. Great idea. I hope they're able to include these sort of options (snow/no snow, desert/no desert, etc.)
3. That would be amazing. Nothing is more frustrating than deleting a bunch of villagers late in a laggy game 11.
4. Sure, I guess.
5. Good idea.
6. I'm not sure what they're doing to make TK's more useful, but this could work. I like it.
7. Would do wonders for the streams, that's for sure. It's something I've wanted since I first got aoc.
8. I actually like this idea as well. It'd be cool having your opponent not know if you're attacking him on water or landing him. Adds a bit more strategy to the bland water maps.
9. They've already done this. I think the default is 250 pop, but I'm sure it goes higher.
10. More civs will be for a later expansion I guess.

That makes Aztecs insanely overpowered. Make 75 monks. Stand there. You win!
