Hello Aoc community,

This is just an idea that i thought of but not sure if it has ever happen before. This tournament will be a continent civ war which will go something like this; 3 different clans .each clan will only use european civ, 1 will be middle Asia civs, and the last clan will use Asian civs.

European Civ

Middle Eastern civs

Asian civs

Which continent do you guys think has the most powerful set of Civs? I think it would be european because they have strongest Water. Paladins,Archers and siege. If i had money i would donate money to host a tournament like this but i am currently broke. I would have enough for next year maybe put in $100 dollar for winning team, each member gets a cut of $25 lol
Has this ever been done before?

im sorry Teutons are not middle eastern but German (european). And neither is Huns (Asian).
Middle eastern team should be: Persian, Turkey, Byzantine, Saracens
Germanic: Viking, Teuton, British, Franks (goths are an odd one, they should belong here but they are wrong timeframe and wandered off too far)
Better would be: Spanish, Franks, Teutons, British ( because these are the core of the middle-aged european power )
Asia is ok as proposed

Im not sure exactly where Teutons and Huns were from but ill let the staff or pros decide which civ belongs where. There is an updated group already i should apply to the first post. There will be 4 groups instead now aswell.

Have you talked with someone from the voobly tournament staff about that tournament already? Sometimes they add some money to prizepools.

Also if you want teams like SY and Tyrant to take part, the tournament will have to promise some prestige. Being backed up by voobly might help for that as well.
Or have you already contacted their team captains and asked them about their opinions?

I havent talked to any voobly staff yet, but some have to some pros and said this would be an interesting idea. Who should i get a hold of to discuss where to start?

I think this tourney would be most fun for people that are bored of seeing the same mirror civs all the time and would require diferent strategies to win instead of Kts Crossbow every game. If Sy played i bet they would pick the asian civs 11.

Think about tech trees and team bonuses. The middle eastern Civs all have gunpowder and will all benefit from the Turks team bonus. They also all have great cavalry. Persians are best all round cavalry civ in the game. Saracens have the best anti-cavalry cavalry. Byzantines get Paladins although they're not great, and the Turks have the best cavalry in the game of any non-Paladin civ, only missing Paladin upgrade but they get free light cav and free hussar.

3 of the 4 of them are also the top 3 fast imp civs. Turks with Free Chemistry and Free Hussar saving 800 food and 800 gold as soon as they hit Imp. Byzantines are 33% cheaper Imp, and Persians have 15 seconds less advancing to Castle Age and 25 seconds less advancing to Imperial Age thanks to faster TCs. Saracens I guess could join in with their market bonus. 3 of them also have Redemption at the monastery so monk-wise they kick *** as well, although Turks don't get block printing and illumination.

Western European's would rock because of Spanish trade team bonus, and Central European's would dominate on Water because of Vikings and Huns.

The East Asian civs are powerful and get the Mongol team bonus and Korean team bonus.

Ya the Middle east civs seem pretty powerful, but these pros would probably kill the flanks before the pockets can IMP. Im very curious to see which civs would be picked first as every group has strenghts and counters to other civs. I think European civs are best rounded and asian civ is close.
