How to watch recorded games on Mac

Postby  frozen4 » Fri Dec 31, 2010 12:45 am

Watching recorded games on Mac is very much alike watching them on PC. But you can not watch recordings made on PC version of AOK, and they can't watch recordings made on Mac version. So if you are using mac, make sure you only try to watch recorded games played by other Mac players, like those in this forum category.

How to watch a recorded game:

1. Patch your game.
You can find the final patch here: http://destineergames.com/support/?page_id=35

2. Download the record game.
a. It is a .mgx file. If so, go to step two.
b. It is a .zip file. You must un-zip it, do so.

3. Place the .mgx file in the SaveGame folder.
Inside your "Age of Empires II Gold" folder there is a folder called "SaveGame". Drag the .mgx file there.

4. Start Age of Empires.
And when it has started, go to "Single Player" and then "Saved and Recorded Games". In there, locate the game you want to watch and double click it.

5. Restart the game.
This is very important. When the game start, locate the "Restart" button down left. Press it within the first few seconds, otherwise the game is likely to start acting weird later.

Enjoy watching Age of Empires II recorded games!

Marian has never seen a boob before, unless we're counting that man-boob he saw at the swimming pool last week.
