Re: Official campaign feedback

What's the likelyhood of seeing the new AOFE campaigns added onto a world map similar to the Conqerors campaigns and the Age of Kings Campaigns? If it's a matter of getting artists onboard, I'm sure we can go talent hunting online on modelling boards with "hey do you remember that sick game, AOE2? well, we need some modellers to reproduce some renders in this style: [insert images of the different campaign screens]. This is for our unofficial expansion yada yadda yadda [link to AOEFE]"

You never know. Nostalgia is a powerful force. And for a game as popular as AOE2 I would guess that there's a modeller with the required skills hiding out there somewhere who would love to help out.

If on ther other hand it's a matter of technical limitations.... that just sucks :(

Atm: technical issue :( We have a nice map, but don't know how to get it functional.

For the last mission I suggest banning cartography, and lower the pop cap.

Yeah, having Carto gives away like 75% of this map, so the paths are too clear. Also, since the enemy doesn't train any more army, a lower pop limit might be nice to keep the challenge.
Also, I accidentally lost Alfie (forgot his real name) on this scenario, but the game kept going (although it was impossible to win it)

Hope these comments help ;)

Campaign 4 - Sack of Rome crashes

Postby  GAF_Zommy » Thu Feb 21, 2013 10:33 am

Hi,

i downloaded the new installer, then the patch and went through the alaric campaign 1-3 without any problem.
Unfortunately in the 4th campaign shortly after the beginning the game (and my hole computer) gets stuck in a graphical error until i kill the age2-process.

the timing of the crash is slightly different.
- once right after the gate is crashed
- most of the times after the first attack is repelled and the scout is assigned.

i tried it several times including after restart without any other applications running to avoid any interference (browser,...)
My system:
Win 7 (64-bit)
2,9 GHz
4 GB RAM

There is a bios section on our website (http://www.forgottenempires.net/bios). Or are you looking for something else?

I'v seen that but there is none anywhere and besides the game and patch is ready so why not give an official list of credits to the team members?Just to let the community know.I know most of the developers since I and a lot of other people followed the streams but I can bet there are some people who have this and don't know who developed it and downloaded it only after they saw posts or the FE lobbies.

I played the Legonaries on the Horizon scenaria, and in my opinion it is weird/wrong that you can reach imperial...

Also, ban cartography in map two. It's just weird to share line of sight with the civilians and be able to see the Roman army long before it arrives.
