Imagine Korean Siege Onagers with 8+3 range, only 1 minimum range (regular ones have 3 min range), and also affected by Ballistics, it would be the dream

Don't forget to add Furor Celtica, Drill, Ironclad, Torsion Engines, and the Slavs' 15% discount, for the best Siege Onager in the game! Kappa

Would having scorps do siege instead of piercing damage be too op? Maybe lower the damage bit in that case

What do you mean "siege" damage?

There's melee damage, and pierce damage.

All units deal either melee or pierce damage (or both, like Fire Ships do). There's no other main class.

There is technically "siege" damage but that is just damage against the siege armor class (bonus damage against siege basically).

There is building attack bonus damage, which is what most siege does (scorps only deal a low amount).

If you mean that scorps should deal high damage to other siege and buildings (like Mangonels do) then it could be a decent idea, but IDK

Mangonels have a unique type of attack that doesn't count as melee or piercing...or am I completely wrong here? Have scorpions do the same kind of damage basically have it ignore the regular armor. Just a thought :P

Mangonels actually deal melee damage, funnily enough.

Scorpions dealing melee damage could make them better than they need to be against some types of units but ultimately wouldn't make them broken either IMO. They'd be able to kill the Mangonel line in way less hits but would still get flattened by mango shots so it could arguably be OP, but maybe not.

IMO the best way to balance them would be to make them have a smaller hitbox and +0.05 movement speed, so that they can be more easily microed especially to avoid mangonel line shots. Right now they get flattened and are so slow and hard to micro that it's impossible to save them. Stuff like Mongol Siege Onagers are completely unstoppable if you're massing Heavy Scorpions, unless you're Mongols yourself or something.

They deal melee damage but such a high amount that even units with high melee armor can't tank more than a few shots.
