AoC hasnt been in official balance support since 2002 but the various balance patches were unsuccessful despite having some great ideas and needed chagnes. These things just dont happen. At the moment HD is being suppported the last balance changes in 5.5 are 1? week old. Until DE is out there will be more changes to HD balance most likely and You have Cysion who is the best person to make positive changes to the game.

If somebody comes up with balance changes for WK they just wouldnt stick in the current situation. If you some change and want it happen convincing Cysion is the way to go.

As T-West said, the WK installer does offer the possibility of data mods and there's one active already that has the x-patch trade cart change, fixed slav bonus, sling nerfs, no onager cutting and instant carto, I haven't focused on it yet though. I'm open for any changes, but they should have widespread agreement or it will just cause more arguments and trouble.

That trade cart change was pretty for 300 pop games.

Somehow the eagle warriors in castle age shred absolutely everything - monks, archers, knights, there is absolutely no counter (except longswordmen, or slingers, which are inca only). And they're super cheap...

A question about WK balance (Would be a UP change and affect all versions, whether normal WK or a potential data mod):

Currently, the TC reveal bonus of the Vietnamese on Nomad works differently between HD and WK. On HD, TCs are revealed once they are built, on WK the bonus does nothing on Nomad.

It would probably be possible to update UP 1.5 to make this work as on HD, but should that be the case? It's a bonus that specifically on nomad could quite easily be exploited for unfun laming, especially in more casual games with no rules against laming on Nomad. I would be interested to hear thoughts on this.

Also note that this would be rec/save/sync breaking update for the UP beta, so not something that should be done without a reason for it or that can just be done to try it out and then revert it.

SSL rule. Smurfing, stealing, laming is what makes AoC so dramatic and fdp.

It should be corrected asap, until there is an agreement saying otherwise, WK Voobly should work the same as RotR.

+1 Its a minor change but the idea of WK is to be the sam content-wise as HD balance.

Well, there already is a difference (that will not be changed): The burmese relic bonus only shows as explored and doesn't remain visible throughout the game, even after the relic's been removed.

The battle elephants when I was testing them seemed to do 12-15 trample damage. Is that intentional? I thought it would be really funny to see karambit warriors vs those elephants and then saw that the trample damage was 3 hit KO 11
