TheVipers commented on map design and gave recommendations which I implemented.

Since then the maps have been adjusted and balanced alot more.

Arabia2 and Jungle resources are standard. Highland extra gold is given one pile per player and stone is fought over by the river. I expect Arabia2 would be enjoyed by no-walling players: since it's so open with all the wood at the back. Arena should open alot of options to players.

Standard maps with standard resources are played with: standard tactics. Players adjust to a maps strength and weakness, not the other way around.

Resource spread so players can adapt to each map.

Jungle: standard Yucatan resources spread with ponds of shore fish and multiple entrances with shallows to make walling harder.

Arabia2: Scandinavian resource spread (berriers replaced with deer), wood layout is different and self explanatory. Fish found in both water.

Highlands: Scandinavian resource spread (berriers replaced with deer) and extra gold is given to each players land instead of given randomly. Stone is only found by the river with small 1 tile patches of gold. Water has fish and big fish.

Arena: players start with 2 extra vills, 1 boar and standard sheep, safe gold, 5 wood, and deep fish.
Outside the wall: gold and stone piles are smaller but equally spaced and random. 3 extra boars equally spread and groups of deer size 3-4. Wood is smaller then Arabia with shallows to make walling more challenging.
Concept: aggressive map with many options. Aggression vs fc should be more balanced since fc player will lose more eco (fish, wood) while advancing. Higher food eco should promote faster game then standard.

I'm surprised this hasn't gotten more comments. I played ara2 and arena. I definitely haven't played another map like yet, in a good way. Thanks for making them.
