According to forgotten works new civs would be like:

Inuits complete tec tree, don't need to advance to next ages. UU a red skin archer with 30 pierce armor

Lithuanians infantry civ infantry line get extra 5 attack per age, creating monks cost wood.

Polish, free university upgrades, villagers work 40% faster

Swish ,every resource they gather gives them 1 extra gold, UU artillery unit that shoots 3 bullets (25 damage per shoot)

Zimbabwe, villagers get +40 HP, UU lion warriors faster than cavalry with 50 attack 25 hp cost no gold.

I'm fairly sure creating monks should cost stone rather than wood because we were successfully stoning them during middle ages Kappa

actually at first the forgotten civs were pretty under powered (or atleast considered to be, the only players who tried to find a meata that we had on HD before Rise of Rajas was Spirit of the law and a Tatoh playing vs people 100 elo lower than him) so that may be why they made sure that the afrikan kingdoms civs would be strong at launch.

I was thinking about western Asia civilizations, like Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan...
But now that we have Slavs, Turks, Persians and Mongols I guess these can be reasonably correctly portrayed in campaigns and stuff.

When you think about it, with the 31 civs, we already have a pretty good mapping of the world from western Europe to south east Asia. :)

Because the Austrian Archduchy(from 1453 onwards before that it was only a duchy under the Babenberger and the Habsburger) was pretty much just another germanic part of the Holy Roman Empire in the Middle Ages, which are represented in the game by the teutons, the rise of the Habsburgian empire to a major power in europe was pretty much after the middle ages, so out of the scope of AoE 2.

Magyars and Turks on the other hand are quite different to that. The early Austrian Mark Ostarichi was found to protect the duchy of Baiern from the Magyars and only got to be its own governing body in the bigger structure of the HRR later. The Turks are significant because the brought the Fall Constantinople which kicked off a whole lot of other consequences.

Turk is probably general term just like Slavs, meaning it is supposed to cover Seljuk Turks as well as Sultanate of Rum and later Otoman Empire, which would fit timeframe.
