This is a good idea, but you HAVE to keep AoCZone archived, it has so much useful material posted that cannot simply be lost forever.

PKZ just said everything's getting transferred over...

Do we need to have a like button? I really prefer a forum without like/dislike

I kinda like it. Sometimes I feel like letting the poster know I enjoyed/agreed with their post without going through the trouble of writing out a response. I think it can also help eliminate responses like "1111111" or "amazing"... short-term exclamations like that which just fall under the umbrella of a "like."

Or essentially facebook. These buttons bury everything which is not in line with popular opinion.

How about introducing the ''+1'' button instead of the like/dislike? It gives an option to agree with someone's argument without quoting it and literally typing ''+1'' or ''agreed''. At the same time the post can't get disagrred or disliked but simply stays at 0 when none supports the point made. I think this is a nice way to avoid frustration from beeing disliked but to highligt the ides which find support.
<[Frantic]Whoop> less strawberry

If the comment section is ordered chronologically like in AoCZone I don't see how could that be bad for unpopular opinions.
On the other hand, if it's ordered by the number of likes then yeah it would be bad.

I might be missing something here, but what's the difference between a "+1" and a "like"?
There's no dislike button on AoEZone, only a like button.

I personally like the "like" button.
There's a whole bunch of posters whose posts I always enjoy reading ( (uk) Gary internet comes to mind).
Dropping them a like every now and then could give them the motivation to be active more often! :)
