Deathmatch meta on 1.5 WK

In the last year I've been watching quite a bit of DM.
With the rise of WololoKingdoms I was asking myself, how the meta is going to change in DM, both 1v1 and in teamgames.

Are Indians becoming the new huns?
How strong are Battle Elephants in 1v1 DM?
How OP are malian condos in team DM?
...

Any thoughts on that matter?

I dont think anybody can make definitive statements about this. Thats one reason why I am trying to get some ppl together atm for some WK DM TGs and maybe even incorporate it on Nili's stream. So keep your eyes open for that :D

Lot of the aussie community rm games end in imp so i can give u feedback.

Khmer are an absolute power house with this ballistic elephants +battle elephants.

Battle elephants die pretty badly to mass scorps.

Paladins are still very strong because of mobility + armor.

Saracens is the ultimate imp power house. Mamelukes counters everything (camel archers, arambai, mangudais, battle elephants, archer elephants etc)

Vikings anti cavalry bonus essentially gives them halbs. Still not a fantastic civ.
Teutons are even better for their flexibility (tech tree)
In vanilla aoc, 55 mamelukes will kill 85 mangudais.

Worst civ? Malay. All around terrible.

Indians are good.

I think Slavs will be one of the best 1v1 and TG DM Civs, because of their Teambonus and OP Units

Actually they don't counter camel archers or imperial camels. Those units are in the camel armor class but not the cavalry armor class; mamelukes have bonus vs cavalry armor class but not camel armorclass; mamelukes deal no bonus damage to them.

I saw a Spring stream playing 1v1 DM huns in WK. Chat told him to go tarkans and they work amazing.

Cheaper, created in half speed than a paladin, with more pierce amor and capable of taking castles by themselves with no work. Surely 1v1 DM huns war will change to Tarkans. Now what i dont know, what would be the army composition, tarkans perform worser than paladin against halb.

Imagine DM TG, Hun flank, no threadmill crane but **** tarkans created in half time of paladin. Those idiots could destroy production buildings and gg the enemy flank quickly. No need to add siege.

IMO, tarkans need some nerf. Those creation time stats are ridiculous.

Castle age eagles just became viable, overpowered in their situation and got nerfed.

Dont think that Tarkans are too op in this situation tbh, they still perform worse than pala in certain situations and paladins are not much worse at taking down buildings. Also Huns got slightly nerfed in expansions with the removal of treadmill crane.

Franks with their 40% faster stables for example is another fun thing in expansions, especially with hun ally ;)
